The Shift Programming Language and Run - time

چکیده
Shift is a programming language for describing dynamic networks of hybrid automata. Such systems consist of components which can be created, interconnected and destroyed as the system evolves. Components exhibit hybrid behavior, consisting of continuous-time phases separated by discrete-event transitions. Components may evolve independently, or they may interact through their inputs, outputs and exported events. The interaction network itself may evolve. We believe that the Shift model ooers the proper level of abstraction for describing complex applications such as automated highway systems, air traac control systems, robotic shoppoors, coordinated submarines and other systems whose operation cannot be captured easily by conventional models. We have implemented a compiler for translating a Shift program to a C program, and we have implemented the Shift run-time system for obtaining an executable program. The executable program, when run, simulates the design speciied in the Shift source program.

Applying mean shift and motion detection approaches to hand tracking in sign language
Hand gesture recognition is very important to communicate in sign language. In this paper, an effective object tracking and hand gesture recognition method is proposed. This method is combination of two well-known approaches, the mean shift and the motion detection algorithm. The mean shift algorithm can track objects based on the color, then when hand passes the face occlusion happens. Several...

متن کاملModeling and Evaluation of Stochastic Discrete-Event Systems with RayLang Formalism
In recent years, formal methods have been used as an important tool for performance evaluation and verification of a wide range of systems. In the view points of engineers and practitioners, however, there are still some major difficulties in using formal methods. In this paper, we introduce a new formal modeling language to fill the gaps between object-oriented programming languages (OOPLs) us...
